Delivery

Every Só Madra collar and lead is handmade in my coastal workshop in Scotland, so I take as much care over getting your order to you as I do making it. Below you'll find everything you need to know about how and when your order will arrive.

UK delivery costs

Orders under £100: £5 flat rate
Orders of £100 and over: free delivery

All UK orders are sent with Royal Mail Tracked 24, including to the Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland at no extra cost.

When will my order be dispatched?

Ready-to-ship items (these are in their own special collection on the shop and will be marked as such) are dispatched within 1 to 3 working days of your order being placed. Orders placed after 2pm or at the weekend will be processed from the next working day.

Made-to-order items from the shop are made especially for you once you place your order and are dispatched within 2 to 3 weeks (but often quicker). If you need your order sooner than the stated timeframe, please contact me with your request and I will do my best to accommodate. These are bought exactly as shown on the website, so there's nothing further you need to do after checkout. I'll let you know as soon as your order is on its way.

Bespoke pieces are designed with you from scratch, so the 2 to 3 week making time starts once we've agreed your design and your deposit has been received. I'll keep you updated along the way and let you know as soon as your piece is on its way.

If your order contains both ready-to-ship and made-to-order items, everything will be sent together once the made-to-order item is finished, unless we agree otherwise.

Delivery times

Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims to deliver the next working day after dispatch. Please note this is a target rather than a guarantee, and delivery can occasionally take longer during busy periods such as Christmas, or due to weather or postal disruption.

Tracking your order

Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive an email with your tracking number so you can follow its journey. A signature is not usually required, and Royal Mail may leave your parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour if you're not in.

International delivery

I currently only deliver within the UK. If you're based overseas and would like to order, please get in touch and I'll do my best to help.

Please check your address

Please make sure your delivery address is correct before completing your order. If you spot a mistake, email me as soon as possible at gillian@somadra.co.uk and I'll do my best to update it before dispatch. I'm unable to change an address once an order has been sent, and I can't be responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided at checkout.

Lost or damaged parcels

If your tracking hasn't updated for 5 working days, or your parcel arrives damaged, please contact me within 7 days of the expected delivery date and I'll look into it with Royal Mail. Where a parcel is confirmed lost or damaged in transit, I'll send a replacement or issue a full refund.
