Sizing

Measure around your dog's neck where the collar will sit, allowing two fingers of comfortable space. Our collars are sized by this internal measurement. Full guide can be found here.
Hardware Guide

Stainless Steel has a cool, silver tone and won't tarnish, a practical everyday choice in any weather.

Brass has a warmer, golden tone that develops a natural patina with age, giving each piece real character over time.

Both are equally strong and built for daily use, so it really comes down to the look you prefer.
Materials & Care

After a walk by the coast or on a muddy trail, wipe your rope lead or collar down with a damp cloth to lift off dirt and everyday debris. If it's picked up sand or salt from time by the sea, rinse it through with fresh water and let it dry fully before putting it away, since salt left sitting in the fibres can dull the colour and stiffen the rope over time.

For a deeper clean, wash by hand using a mild soap and lukewarm water, and avoid harsh chemicals or anything abrasive, both can wear down the rope's fibres faster than everyday use would. Once clean, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat, a tumble dryer or a radiator will do more harm than good to marine rope.

Looked after this way, your Só Madra rope collar or lead will keep its colour and hold its strength for years of walks to come.
